In Holy Tremor, Bárbara Wagner and Benjamin de Burca established a partnership with a gospel label in the city of Palmares, in Pernambuco, interested in dealing with the social and aesthetic aspects of the Pentecostal Church. The evangelic liturgy is especially musical in the region of Zona da Mata, marked the colonial economy of sugarcane plantations, and is inhabited by young people who seek through singing a new form of labour.

It's by far my favourite film, a rousing, titanic epic that's so ambitious it seems to transcend the boundaries of cinema and go to places I've never seen the medium venture before.

I just came back from seeing this movie, twice! Yes, it is that good. The highlight in this film was definitely Tacy Silva and Joalysson Anderson. Tacy Silva gave such a convincing and emotional performance in a character who is so sensitive. Joalysson Anderson was really good at bringing to life such a character. I was really amazed at how good he was playing
