Tang Monk brings three disciples on a journey to the West. On the outside, everything seems harmonious. However, tension is present beneath the surface, and their hearts and minds are not in agreement. After a series of demon-capturing events, the monk and his disciples gain mutual understanding of each others' hardships and unease. Finally, they resolve their inner conflict and work together to become an all-conquering, demon-exorcising team.
Very clever and most excellent acting.
This is definitely a movie I will be watching several times in the cinema.
I admit it, I watched it because of Kris Wu... and I would again. I enjoyed it.
This movie is freaking amazing! Yun Lin does an awesome job of a gripping tale!
Hark Tsui did a wonderful job with this movie. He gave the fans what they wanted to see without rolling over and catering to their every demand. 10/10 stars, perfect.
Stephen Chow takes a story, twists it and turns, plays with our expectations and leaves us with a great film. I've seen it plenty times and never get bored.
Old-school Adventure goodness! Real good. It's got plot, visuals, soundtrack, performances.
