This story is about Akim, a young habitant of one of Marseille's famed quarters, who has a difficult time getting out of his social condition and unflinching control of his mother. He finally decides to do a scam with his friends, but a disastrous event will drastically change his life. To get out of this affair, he turns to an experienced crook, a former friend of his now deceased brother. And there, as a river cascading down a hill, he falls into a hellish spiral.
This movie was absolutely great in my opinion; it might even be my favorite movie at this moment.

This film is an the result of a genius mind. Bania Medjbar is one of the greatest film makers in the world today.
Absolute masterclass in sound editing, not to mention the campy script, brilliant acting, soundtrack, and set design!
