A 12-year-old girl being raised within a matriarchal household is taken through the right of passage of killing a deer for the first time. Expectations dissolve into chaos, and Florence finds herself alone, relying on instinct and training to follow through with her decisions, pull herself together, and face becoming an adult in the North American wilderness.
This movie has a special place in my heart possibly because I've done the work that Karl Jacob has done before! Great choice of actors as well!
It is beautiful and it's such a pleasure to see Heidi Fellner and Karl Jacob in roles they deserve.

Five stars. It is what it is. Not gonna win any oscars, but much more fun than most oscar winners. Suspend your disbelief, sit back, and enjoy. And try not to take life too seriously.
The action was constant edge of the set stuff, the locations stunning, the CGI, the acting excellent. I left the cinema saying I wanted to go back in to see it again
Perfect film for a movie night. It's intense, has plenty of action and great story. Heidi Fellner was good but Karl Jacob was most impressive. Great performance from both. Very confident.
I may have a new favorite movie.
