War and Myth of the 21st century

What is modern civilization? Equally or not people understand its meaning? Why as civilized recognized the most powerful? Is a war an integral part of the civilization? Why does civilization need sacrifices? Is it possible for religion to perform a deterrent function, stopping destructive processes, or has it already been finally turned into a political tool for achieving goals? In the name of what people perish every day in different parts of the world, who sentenced them? Is one of the most important criteria of civilization - the attitude to human life, as an absolute value? Who is more civilized, who has exterminated more, or saved more?
