In October 2016, Senegalese economist, musician and poet Felwine Sarr founded the "Ateliers de la Pensée", the so-called workshops for thought, together his friend political scientist Achille Mbembe. Over four days in Dakar, they gathered together leading Senegalese intellectuals including Lydie Moudileno, Romuald Fonkoua and Nadia Yala Kisukidi for a long overdue theoretical exchange on the current issues that affect Africa - and thus also the future of planet Earth.
Loved it! Busting to go to the loo (far too much Diet Coke)! but didn't want to miss a minute of this cracker of sparky and sparkly joyous romp.
Was not expecting it to be SO GOOD! This has seriously become my favorite movie to date.
The actors do a great job realizing a surprisingly good script. Performance of Felwine Sarr leaves me breathless every time. Special recognition has to be given to Achille M'Bembe for his phenomenal performance!
It was a decent movie that had Documentary. I enjoyed it.
The movie of course belongs to Felwine Sarr and Achille M'Bembe, both fine accomplished actors who deliver all that is expected and more. Credit is also due to the script - simple, elegant, yet intelligent to make the audience focus.
Jean-Pierre Bekolo as a director has made a lot of awesome movies in the past... and I mean A LOT! And This one definitely is one of them!
