Ribeirinhos do Rio Negro

Ribeirinhos do Rio Negro

Ribeirinho is the Portuguese name given to the people who live on the riverside of the Amazonian rivers. Ribeirinhos do Rio Negro is about the people who live in the margins of the largest black-water river in the world. Their economic sources are based in fishing, agriculture, handicrafts and tourism. The Amazonas Government tries to help them to survive without resulting in depredation of the forest. Amazing aerial shots, alongside substantial testimonies of Ribeirinhos and local specialists provide an unrecognized Amazon Forest portrait.

Very moving, very touching. For that alone, it deserves unalloyed plaudits.
