While We Can: The Road to Rescue

In recent years, Manitoba has received more refugees than any other province in Canada. Hospitality House, run by Karin Gordon and Tom Denton, have rescued (privately sponsored) more refugees than any other agency or group in Canada. Last year, they helped over 1300 refugees come to Canada via private sponsorship. And Karin and Tom are both aging; Karin is over 70 and Tom is in his early 80's. While We Can - The Road to Rescue intertwines a range of refugee stories, focusing on some who walked many miles to freedom, with the impressive work of Hospitality House. Karin Gordon has also been the one called by Canadian Customs border agents when refugee claimants have managed to walk into Canada. She has personally taken some of them in, fed them, clothed them and assisted them as they apply for formal refugee status.

A very good movie! When it comes to end, you want to see more, and more, and more…
I can watch it again and again and have the same feeling as watching it for the first time
There are very few films I can watch more than once. This is one I can.
Loved this movie. I was not sure at first, but it turned out to be awesome!!!
Loved it! Busting to go to the loo (far too much Diet Coke)! but didn't want to miss a minute of this cracker of sparky and sparkly joyous romp.
I gave to all credit story writer and director. Actors they well performed, Must watch film 2 times in lifetime.
Five stars. It is what it is. Not gonna win any oscars, but much more fun than most oscar winners. Suspend your disbelief, sit back, and enjoy. And try not to take life too seriously.
