Sixteen year-old Nisha lives a double life. At home with her family she is the perfect Pakistani daughter, but when out with her friends, she is a normal Norwegian teenager. When her father catches her in bed with her boyfriend, Nisha's two worlds brutally collide. To set an example, Nisha's parents decide to kidnap her and place her with relatives in Pakistan. Here, in a country she has never been to before, Nisha is forced to adapt to her parents' culture.
I will never get tired of this movie. It’s a funny, quirky, feel good movie. I love Rohit Saraf!
This movie was freaking awesome. "Was werden die Leute sagen" is a great film.
When I realized who directed this one, I thought, "Oh, no - not Iram Haq!" but I was WRONG! "Mr Iram Haq, surprise me!" I'm not only surprised - I am also very much impressed!

Hvad vil folk sige is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again and never get bored of it, it's an enthralling and pulse-pounding film!
Absolute masterclass in sound editing, not to mention the campy script, brilliant acting, soundtrack, and set design!

Iram Haq, you deserve a standing ovation. From an unbiased, stand-alone movie point of view, this film does an incredible job of being exciting from beginning to end
