Deserto

A small group of artists travels the Brazilian backlands presenting a show. Upon arriving in a small village, they find an abandoned city with houses, a church, and a fountain spouting clean water, like a miracle of a biblical desert. Tired of and battered by their life as wanderers, the artists decide to settle in the village and start a new community, assigning themselves different roles from those they have played throughout their lives. This new arrangement, however, will reveal these artists the worst vices of the civilian life.

You definitely got to see this movie. I was not bored in any moment. Magali Biff, Lima Duarte excellent performances and very good all in their respective roles.

Don't wait until it comes out on DVD, go and watch it at your local cinema, you won't be disappointed!

I enjoyed everything and every moment. Lima Duarte again proves why he's one of the cinema's masters.

I am usually extremely difficult about movies, I am usually a fan of repertoire cinema and modern movies. Yet I was amazed at the quality of the Desert movie. Just go see it now and get a good seat!

Usually I try to be careful with over hyping a film, or setting the expectations too high, as film geeks all are guilty for, however for Guilherme Weber, this really is not possible.

A brilliant new take on the classic Drama genre! Truly unique and more than we could have expected or predicted!

Hits a High Standard of Excellence... GREAT Film.
