Alfred Greven was the head a French movie studio founded with Nazi money producing propaganda and the most subversive masterpieces of French Cinema. Greven's intentional disappearance after the war and his silence until his death in 1973 maintain a certain mystery. To date, no photos or other record of him are available. Yet the 40 films produced by Continental Films remain. Who was he?
A wonder to behold and worth waiting every second... Breathtaking....... all that I could have wanted and more! Jean-Louis Barrault is outstanding, and Pierre Barillet a very respectable and stunning protagonist!
U just can't simply predict whats up next. Believe me, U can't! This movie delivers much more than i expected and i expected a lot.
Was actually pretty damn good. The film was good.
I really enjoyed this movie. Jean-Louis Barrault was good, Pierre Barillet was great.
This movie is amazing, Jean-Louis Barrault is so talented!
I can't think of a word good enough to describe this! The first thing I said to my boyfriend when the movie ended is "I'm almost positive this is going to make the top 250!
I don't review movies often. This film is an exception to my rule because it was so good.
It's by far my favourite film, a rousing, titanic epic that's so ambitious it seems to transcend the boundaries of cinema and go to places I've never seen the medium venture before.
