Jerusalem-born trauma expert Ofra Bloch forces herself to confront her demons in a journey that takes her to Germany, Israel and Palestine. Set against the current wave of fascism and anti-Semitism sweeping the globe, 'Afterward' delves into the secret wounds carried by victims as well as victimizers, through testimonies ranging from the horrifying to the hopeful. Seen as a victim in Germany and a perpetrator in Palestine, Ofra faces those she was raised to hate and dismiss as she searches to understand the identity-making narratives of the Holocaust and the Nakba, violent and non-violent resistance, and the possibility of forgiveness.
Superb! Fantastical but perfectly balanced! Having Ofra Bloch, and Bassam Aramin who brought their professionalism to this production certainly made the difference.
I can honestly admit that it was better than I was originally expecting!
Great movie, kept me on the edge of my chair.
I loved this movie since i was a little kid and its one of my favorite movies in tell today!
A wonder to behold and worth waiting every second... Breathtaking....... all that I could have wanted and more! Ofra Bloch is outstanding, and Bassam Aramin a very respectable and stunning protagonist!
I would highly recommend that anyone who is deciding whether or not to go and see it does; you will most likely love it.
I enjoyed everything and every moment. Ofra Bloch again proves why he's one of the cinema's masters.
I have to say to make such an impressive trailer and such an interesting film, takes great doing!
